Nursery

Our Nursery is a safe place where children not yet in kindergarten are welcomed to enjoy free play and the company of other children while their parents attend services. While in the nursery, children may play with a variety of age-appropriate toys, including blocks, dress-up clothes, puzzles, and books. In addition, children have the opportunity to sing songs, act out finger plays, color, and create artwork, should they choose to do so.

We encourage newcomers as well as members and friends of our congregation who have young children to take advantage of our nursery. Parents have the opportunity to focus on the service and to enjoy coffee and conversation after the service while their children are cared for nearby.

The nursery is located in the lower level of the building, where there are always at least two supervising adults at all times. Child care is provided by Heather Cintula, a N.Y.S. certified preschool teacher, and approved volunteers from our congregation. Parents are also welcomed to stay with their child in the nursery until he/she feels comfortable. Parents of children new to the nursery will be asked to fill out a brief form upon their arrival.

Kate Stockwell is the Nursery Coordinator and can be contacted with any questions or concerns.
